Alongside lecturing and writing, I am a private tutor. I teach English GCSE, creative writing, and study skills. I have been meaning to organise my testimonials for a while now in an attempt to get them all on one page which I can keep updating...so here it is! Charlotte is such a positive role model for a student! She is so passionate about her subjects and this is reflected in the way she teaches. Charlotte gives practical examples which makes the more complex things easier to comprehend in a visual way. Charlotte always wears a smile and is always oozing with enthusiasm every session! —— Charlotte Baker has been a true inspiration to my children. She started off working with my son, helping him achieve a B grade last year in his English GCSE from a predicted D. This was amazing, considering that English was his weakest subject. Since last summer, Charlotte has been tutoring my then 12yr old daughter and because of her dedication & hard work, I am pleased to say she has also started working with my other daughter who will be starting senior school this year. As a tutor she sets very useful homework which reinforces the session. She then marks it to a very high standard and her feedback is very constructive.

I was slightly concerned about Skype as a medium but Charlotte makes it appear effortless with her bubbly and enthusiastic personality coming across at all times. Charlotte has a natural gift as a teacher and manages to get across complex theories in a fun way. Listening to Charlotte's sessions has also enabled me to help reinforce my daughter's learning.
